I got a pair of dark wash extra long jeans that were on sale because of it's high contrast pocket stitching and metallic buttons, soft pink shorts that go all the way up my waist! (I love the 3 large buttons in the front and the subtle pocket stitching details in the back), a gold necklace with tons of pink jewels, a gold bracelet with large pink plates and diamond-like crystals, and a ring set with gold, pink, and crystal accents.

Rings = $5.00

Total (tax included) = $68.59

Bare Minerals Haul

I went make up shopping and got lots of stuff from Bare Minerals. I've never used their line before, but have seen plenty of their infomercials showcasing women's skin before and after shots. They look trustworthy, and state that they are great for sensitive skin - which I have.

I have REALLY sensitive skin, and that is why I generally don't wear makeup. I'm hoping that with this new line, I'll be able to wear it on a more regular basis.

On my first visit, I received a bag (to put my product in), a facial cleansing demo, makeup, and a makeup demo. Since I have never used Bare Minerals before, I bought a starter kit. It comes with your personal foundation color (which you and representative will pick out), "Warmth" a blush/bronzer, a mineral vail (to set your foundation),  foundation primer, a starter guide, and 3 makeup brushes.

It was not suggested (since I am so new to make up), but I got anyways, an eye shadow kit. It's called "Star Treatment". It has black, gold, peach, light yellow, browns, etc, and it comes with duel brushes (one for eyeliner, and the other for eye coverage). The kit also came with eye primer and an instruction pamphlet that gives you 3 eye shade looks.

I opted for a lip gloss over a lip stick because I wanted something that will compliment my natural lip tone rather than overpower it. Surprisingly, the orange lip gloss the representative picked out went great with my complexion. It's called "Party Starter". I would normally pick out a deep red lip color for myself, but I am very glad that this time I let someone else choose!

Outside of the kits, I also selected a loose eyeshadow color. It's called "Turquoise", and I LOVE IT!!! When I saw it on the spinning table, I just know I had to have it.

The representative at the store was really nice. She gave me a sample of their cleanser and moisturizer just in case I wanted to buy them later. She also did a makeup demo with me to show me how to apply eye shadows properly, and made a guide for me, so I don't forget later.

Starter Kit = $49.00
Foundation = $27.00
Eye Shadow Kit = $25.00
Lip Gloss = $18.00
Separate Eyeshadow = $14.00
Cleanser Moisturizer Sample = $0.00

Total Cost (Tax Included) = $127.00

Swaggable: Apple Clusters

I just recently received a bag of Peeled Snacks new Apple Clusters. The bag size was decent. It is something you can grab in a hurry, eat, and not get full or still be hungry - snack size by definition. Light and sweet is the smell of the small 1-inch clusters. When you pick them up, they are hard like an oversized Cheerios.

On the back of the bag, it states that this snack is only comprised of chopped apples. I'm a health food junky, so this was a pleasant discovery. However the biggest surprise came when I popped a cluster in my mouth. Wowie! It was sour! I hate sour things. It was also felt even harder in my mouth - I also don't like crunchy things. I  didn't want to risk chipping a tooth chewing it, so I just let it sit in my mouth and soak.

After a minute or two, it was able to be chewed. They were apples all right, but a little too fresh for my taste.

I left the bag open in front of my humidifier for 3 days in hopes of softening it. That worked. When I bit into another one, it was soft, sweet, and delicious. The sour bite had lost it's edge, and i could now enjoy them. If you are not a fan of sour or crunchy, then I would suggest having this as a cereal alternative, baking with them, or just leaving the bag open for a few days.

I can never bring myself to full knock a truly healthy product, and I can't knock this one. It is what it says it is… apples.

Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream

Contact Journey: Day 7

It's been a full week of me wearing contacts! I went to get my week eye re-examination at VisionWorks, but I guess I went too late, because the doctor was on her way out - or maybe she had some extreme reason for leaving early.

Stella Artois: Impressive But Not Amazing

The majority of beers I drink are usually IPA's and dark hoppy beers, because of their thick texture and rich aftertaste. I also tend to go for beers with a slight bitter taste like Bluemoon, Shock Top, and Yuengling Black & Tan. In the past, I have dabbled with lighter beers like Corona, but beers like Budweiser and Miller have kept me from buying them regularly.

Stella Artois is an impressive light beer. It's elegant harmony of sweetness and carbonation puts it at the top of my list for that category. From the moment it hits your tongue to the moment it leaves your mouth, the taste is consistent.

Out of the bottle, Stella Artois has a soft sweet aroma which lead me to believe that the beer was going to go down smooth, and it did. Though, using the chalice definitely makes the beer taste smoother, and even enhances the carbonation. However, it is hard to say that the chalice makes the beer taste better. My body is sent on a loop because the beer does taste different, but I can't honestly say weather or not I prefer the chalice.

I was hoping that the chalice would make the Stella Artois taste more like a draft beer, but the hike in carbonation pushes the beer borderline of being considered flat. I will recommend and  buy Stella Artois again in the future, but I would not make a complete switch from the beers I normally purchase to it. Mainly because while it is an impressive for a light beer, overall I am not blown away.

BzzAgent: Liberte

My BzzAgent campaign came with 9 FREE yogurt vouchers!

REVIEW
"Cutting Corners Cuts Desire"
1 Star out of 5
I'm a more than a fan of yogurt, I'm a connoisseur. I have tried almost every individually packaged commercial brand and eaten at every yogurt shop in my state. I also compete in nation-wide yogurt making competitions. Because of Liberté's packaging, I had yet to try it. The highly saturated colors and bold simple print lead me to believe that it would be one step below Kroger brand yogurt - which is not too shabby.

Overall, I am disappointed with Liberté brand. I expected quality and was met with shortcut after shortcut. It is not a brand I will continue to buy, or one that I can recommend to my health conscience friends. However, if one is in the mood for a sugary treat a little healthier than a doughnut, this is a good option.

The first yogurt I tried was the Strawberry. There was no marking on the container that suggest the yogurt I picked out would have fruit on the bottom, but when I dig into it, SURPRISE, there were fruit chunks in an extremely sweet syrup at the bottom of the cup. Cup after cup, there were two themes that rang out: the syrup was really sweet (the sugar did not taste like quality sugar. Because of the aftertaste, I assume a bleached white sugar is what is being used), and the milk didn't sit well with me (I normally have issues with heavily pasteurized low-quality milk).

My suggestion for the brand is that you do not add a sugar syrup at the bottom of the yogurt, and instead, just leave real fruit chances throughout the yogurt. Twenty-nine grams of sugar in a six ounce cup of yogurt is unGodly. That is nearly seven teaspoons of sugar! Also, charge more for your yogurt and use better quality ingredients. I would gladly pay an extra dollar or two per cup if the experience was going to be good.
